A red shadow flutters,a laugh like silver bells.

Your butterfly chasing form,a dream that fell.

Your ribbon,a fairy caught in love’s net,

Hooks my scholar’s cap softly;fate knocks at my chest.

When our eyes meet,my heart beats hot and wet.

The story of first love starts,grand and blessed.

I invite you to boat on waters wide,

Ripples whispering gentle,secret talk.

As day melts to dusk,the sky turns to fire’s tide,

Painting the world in warm,soft light’s walk.

When night is studded with stars that shine,

We sit in the pavilion,baring hearts true.

You look at the moon,staring intently,

While I stare,spellbound—you’re more charming than moon too.

Soft words of love were finally spoken,

Promises of forever,our hearts had awoken.

We pick green plums from the old tree’s branch,

Make wine,sealing hopes for days to come.

Vows hide in the jar,full of joy and awe.

To open on our wedding day,a love-drunk sum.

With gold and silk,gifts bright as stars,

I knock on your door,heart burning like a spark.

We bow to heaven,earth,and love’s pure bars.

But war’s shadow creeps near in a flash,

A call to arms thunders,a storm’s crash.

I must leave,though fear makes my heart dash

On the battlefield,bloodshed like hell’s scene,

Comrades fall; I stand alone, a dying beam.
