今天吃过早饭，连首长给了我们一个任务，上山割草拉回来盖菜窖。到了12点，大家拿着自己从连里带来的盒饭，到达了集合地点，去吃中午饭。当时，我发现王延堂同志坐在一旁看着大家吃，我走到他面前，他没有带饭来，于是我拿了自己的饭给他吃，我虽饿一点，让他吃饱，这是我最大的快乐。我要牢牢记住这段名言：“对待同志要像春天般的温暖，对待工作要像夏天一样火热，对待个人主义要像秋风扫落叶一样，对待敌人要像严冬一样残酷无情。”

After breakfast this morning, our company commander assigned us a mission to cut grass in the mountains and haul it back to build a vegetable cellar. By noon, everyone had gathered at the assembly point with lunchboxes brought from the barracks. As we sat down to eat, I noticed Comrade Wang Yantang sitting off to the side, watching the others. When I approached him, I realized he hadn’t brought any food. Without hesitation, I handed him my own lunch. Though I went a bit hungry myself, seeing him eat his fill brought me immense joy. This moment reminds me to hold firmly to those powerful words:
"Treat comrades with springtime warmth,
Approach work with summer’s fervor,
Address selfishness like autumn winds sweeping fallen leaves,
And confront enemies with winter’s ruthless frost."

I’ m quite happy today because I have done a good deed again. When I went to the post office to mail the letters this afternoon, I found an old lady was crying. I decided to step forward and asked what had happened, only to find she had lost the money that she prepared for her son. In this case, I took out my own allowance immediately to make up the amount mailed. The old lady was grateful for my help, and I said, ‘This is what I should do. I just hope that your son can feel your love.’ Although I spent some of my money, my heart was filled with joy, because I put the purpose of serving the people into action again.

Today, I've earnestly studied a part of Chairman Mao's works. Two sentences in it have impressed me most profoundly. In the past, I followed Chairman Mao's teachings in all my words and actions, so I made progress. Now, I will still bear this teaching of Chairman Mao in mind, strive with determination, and try harder to do this. In the future, I will love and respect the people even more, always be the people's pupil, and serve as the people's servant.
